Description

Presented by Rusnak/Westlake Porsche – In the early 1990s Porsche had two lightweight cars for the Americas, the RS America produced from 1992-1994 and the 1992 Carrera Cup USA model which was originally produced for the single-make Carrera Cup racing series. This cup series which started in Germany, France and other European countries did not materialize in the US that year. Porsche sold these rare cars through dealers after complying with U.S. import regulations.

This 1992 Grand Prix White Carrera Cup 911 is one of only twenty-five Cup cars shipped to America to participate in the 1992 U.S. Carrera Cup spec series.

This 964 variant is in fact a race car returned to street-legal trim by Andial after Porsche cancelled the U.S. Carrera Cup championship.

The 1992 Carrera Cup cars kept many racing upgrades such as reinforced chassis, an engine power increase, and reduced weight. This is a matching numbers car verified on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Ownership history of this 964 includes an "A" list celebrity known to have extensive car collections in the United States.

SPECIFICATIONS:
• Engine: Air-cooled 3.6 liter flat-six
• Transmission 5-speed manual transmission, G50
• Curb weight: 2,660 pounds
• Tires: 17″ Cup Design wheels are mounted on 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
• Suspension: Cup cars feature a lowered Bilstein suspension and adjustable sway bars
• Brakes: Front and rear braking from multi-piston calipers and cross-drilled rotors all around.
• Interior: Black leather interior with fixed-back bucket seats, lightweight door panels, stereo, passenger air bags, 7,600 RPM tachometer, 180-mph speedometer, fuel, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure gauges
